An urban study by PhD student Lyndall Plant, “has revealed buyers are prepared to pay more for a property on a leafy street.”  See article here.

“LJ Hooker Brisbane West sales agent Tyler Bean said that homes in tree-lined streets were more attractive for buyers so they were willing to pay more for them.”

As urban temperatures rise due to infill and climate change and the public become more aware of the importance of trees for our health and cooling, it is logical to assume, that properties and streets with decent shade trees will become even more sort after than they are now.
