We are very excited to have Bryony Edwards as our guest speaker to talk about Local Government and Climate Action on Friday the 8th of September.
Bryony Edwards is a ‘Climate Safe’ campaigner, originally from Perth, now living in the City of Darebin in Melbourne. Along with other local community groups Bryony helped lead a campaign that encouraged the Darebin Council to adopt progressive policies that have made them a world leading municipality in the effort to reverse global warming.
Darebin’s community groups have influenced similar campaigns internationally. Find out how they did it and what we can do here in Perth to encourage our councils to do the same.
