Perth and Peel 3.5 Million draft plan

Tree less street

Nothing will decimate our urban forest more than poor planning policies imposed by the State Government, that Local Governments are forced to adhere to.

The State Government’s proposed Perth and Peel 3.5 Million draft plan is a absolute shocker.

The City of Stirling revised their submission on the draft plan last night at the Council Meeting.  See full report on  page 378 of the Agenda 4th Aug 2015 .

A couple of extra concerns were added to the bullet points by Councillors on the cover letter page of the draft submission on page 392, but I believe the main body of submission that follows will remain.  It is clear the City of Stirling does not support the draft plan, citing its many short comings.

Unfortunately, the public comment period ended last Friday at 5PM.  But that doesn’t mean you can’t contact your Local Members and vent your concerns.

Typically with these things, by the time word gets out and the general public realise what is going on, it is too late and policies are approved.  So please have a look at it and as mentioned email your Local Member of Parliament if you have any concerns.
