Tree at The Butchers Arms pub

This majestic Ficus tree makes a stunning centre piece in the alfresco area of  The Butchers Arms pub on St Georges Terrace, in the heart of Perth’s business precinct.  The decking has been built  around the tree.

It looks like a Ficus macrophylla, commonly known as a Morton Bay Fig.  This one has had to stretch up for the sunlight and is therefore taller and thinner than they are usually.

Nice for city office workers to be able to step out and relax in this lovely leafy cool setting (the food and beer is good too).
