  1. Then why did City of Stirling destroy all the trees on the block on corner of Third and Carrington at the same time they demolished the house? Was it to keep the owner from coming back onto his land and possibly camping?

  2. Many of us have been calling on the City of Stirling to adopt a Tree Protection policy for years, as we have watched with horror old tuart trees being removed to accommodate higher density living in the Scarborough area. Many of these old trees could have been saved if there had been a local government policy or by law requiring builders to design housing around existing trees identified as worthy of protection. Local Government in other States such as Victoria have had Tree Protection policies for years and it shows – it is the 21st century City of Stirling and climate change is upon us – no more procrastination act now!
